The problem, first

The thumb decides before the tongue does.

Half of Klang Valley decides where to get coffee off a phone screen before they’ve left the house. If Feeka isn’t the photo that stops the thumb, we lose them to the café next door with a nicer Instagram grid — even on our best-tasting day.

So this page does the one job a café website has: show the room, show the cup, show the receipts. No stock photography, no “welcome to our cosy space”. The roast log below is dated because we roast on Mondays and Thursdays and the beans genuinely change — most cafés in the Valley buy theirs in already roasted and cannot publish a log like it.

  • Seen first. The room, at golden hour, above the fold.
  • Read fast. Prices set as a list, not a card grid.
  • Walked in. Directions and parking, one tap away.

Roast log

Upstairs, 12kg drum

08.09 — Ethiopia Guji

washed · 1,950 masl

notes: bergamot, brown sugar, jasmine on the cool-down. Cupped 8.09, 07:20.

05.09 — Colombia Huila

honey · 1,700 masl

notes: dried fig, cola, thick body. Pulling best as espresso from day 6.

01.09 — Sumatra Gayo

wet-hulled · 1,400 masl

notes: cedar, dark chocolate, tobacco. The one that holds up with milk.

28.08 — Kenya Nyeri AA

washed · 1,800 masl

notes: blackcurrant, tomato leaf, hard acidity. Sold through in nine days.

Log updated every roast day. Bags of the current origin are on the shelf by the till — 250g, RM42.

The room & the roastery

We roast on-site twice a week in small batches — what’s in the hopper changes the pour.

The drum sits on the mezzanine above the bar. Mondays and Thursdays you’ll smell it from the five-foot way before you reach the door, and the barista pulling your shot is the same person who logged the cupping notes on the strip to the left.

That means the pour-over changes character every fortnight, and we’d rather tell you which bean you’re drinking than sell an anonymous “house blend” all year. Ask for a taste before you commit — the cup station is there for exactly that.

Downstairs is a slow bar: marble counter, eight stools, four tables and a long communal bench that fills with KL Sentral laptops by 10am and empties out again by two. Power points along the back wall. No time limit, no minimum spend.

Evidence, weekly

@feekacoffeeroasters — what’s brewing this week.

Roast days, new arrivals, the odd latte art near-miss. If the grid looks alive, so does the café — that is the whole argument.

“Didn’t expect roastery-fresh coffee this far from Bangsar.”

Google review

“I work out of KL Sentral twice a week and this has become the office. The Guji pour-over on a Tuesday is worth arriving early for, and nobody rushes you off the bench.”

Aisyah R.Local Guide · 5.0

“Came for the croissant, stayed because the barista let me taste the Huila before I bought a bag. Ended up carrying beans back to Penang. Parking is the only faff — go after 7pm.”

Daniel ChoongGoogle review · 5.0

“Genuinely the best cortado in Brickfields and I’ve tried most of them. Gets full around 11 on weekends — the bench seats are the ones to aim for. Would love a second grinder for decaf.”

Why bother walking over

Four reasons, none of them “cosy atmosphere”.

  • Roasted upstairs, not shipped in

Mondays and Thursdays on a 12kg drum. Most cafés in the Valley buy beans already roasted; we log ours by date and publish the cupping notes.

  • A cup station, free to use

Taste before you buy — beans, brew method, grind. Ask the bar and someone will pour you a sample rather than sell you a guess.

  • Built for a long sit

Power points down the back wall, fast wifi, no time limit and no minimum spend. The communal bench seats ten.

  • Eight minutes from KL Sentral

Off Jalan Tun Sambanthan, walkable from the LRT, KTM and the monorail. Street parking loosens up after 7pm.

Before you come

Questions we get at the bar.

Anything else, message us on WhatsApp — someone on the bar answers between pours.

Do you take reservations?

No — we’re walk-in only, which keeps the bench free for whoever turns up. For groups of six or more, WhatsApp us the morning of and we’ll tell you honestly how busy it looks. Weekends between 10am and 1pm are the crush.

Which beans are on today?

Today it’s the 08.09 Ethiopia Guji, washed — bergamot and brown sugar — on both the pour-over and the cold brew. The full roast log is above; it updates every roast day, so what you read there is what’s in the hopper.

Is there parking nearby?

Street parking on the surrounding roads is metered during the day and free after 7pm. If you’re coming at peak, the NU Sentral car park is an eight-minute walk and far less stressful. Most regulars take the LRT to KL Sentral.

Can I work here all afternoon?

Yes. No time limits, no minimum spend, power points along the back wall and the communal bench is built for laptops. We only ask that you don’t take a four-seater on your own on a Saturday morning.

Do you sell beans to take home?

250g bags at RM42, roast date stamped on the front. We’ll grind to your brewer free of charge, though whole bean keeps better. Whatever origin is at the top of the roast log is what’s on the shelf.

Any dairy-free or decaf options?

Oat milk is +RM3 and it steams properly. Decaf is available on request — it comes off a separate grinder so give us an extra minute. Soy on request too, though we only keep a carton or two.
